More than simply a slow smoker, the Big Easy 2-in-1 Electric Smoker and Roaster uses Char-Broil's exclusive TRU-Infrared cooking system, which channels heat evenly and allows for faster cooking at roasting temperatures with 15 preset temperature settings (from 125 to 525 degrees F). And you don't have to deal with messy coal -- just plug it into any common 120-volt power outlet and start smoking or roasting.

You'll be able to fry up to a 16-pound turkey to perfection with the infrared cooking system's Auto Shut-Off feature. Just program the desired internal temperature, and the electric fryer and cooker turns off when the digital probe thermometer detects the desired temperature has been reached. The easy-loading smoker box uses wood chips or pellets to create smokehouse flavors. The grill also a hinged lid to circulate smoke and cool touch handles for easier transport.

How TRU-Infrared Works

All Char-Broil TRU-Infrared grills generate a minimum of 65 percent infrared heat, which is evenly spread across the entire cooking surface to cook food -- without drying -- at temperatures that range from simmer to sear.

Unlike traditional gas grills that use convective heat (hot air) to cook food, Char-Broil's TRU-Infrared grills limit the hot air flow and use natural, radiant heat to cook food directly without drying. While convective heat destroys food's moisture barrier, infrared heat penetrates it without drying and locks in natural juices and flavors. Char-Broil's TRU-Infrared cooking system virtually eliminates flare-ups while producing very even heat (no hot or cold spots).
